... About Me ...
Background about me...
I have always had an interest in arts and crafts.
Through school and college I always knew that I wanted to start my own business, and had envisaged this through my interest in crafting and by attending craft fairs.
As soon as I left college I booked my first craft fair for me to sell my handmade crafts at; where my main crafting interest is sewing, painting ceramics and loom knitting.
By starting this craft business I attended various craft fairs to sell my makes (plus also attended plenty of others to browse and purchase!) and after attending these craft fairs for just 6 months, the following year I decided I wanted to have a go at organising my own event!
At the beginning of 2017 I started looking into organising my own craft fair and in April 2017 I held my first craft fair event!
I have since learnt everything myself, that goes into organising events, with no experience!
I started my events on a small scale with around 18 tables and have now grown my events to hold a minimum of 40 stalls at various venues.
The number of events I hold a year has also increased as interest from stallholders grows week by week.
Plus I am gradually finding new venues to hold my craft fairs at.
Louise's Events Brand...
My Louise's Events name was founded before holding my second ever craft fair event in July 2017.
In September 2017 I designed my first website for Louise's Events.
I like to keep my website looking modern and up to date and I am continuously improving my website, which has since grown into the website you see today.
I have designed my own logo and design all of the promotional material that I use for my events.
I also take my own photographs at every event that I hold and even down to the floral photos that you see here on my website, are my very own!
Everything you see on my Louise's Events website I have created solely!
When I started my craft business after finishing college I had always thought that would be the business I would own and run.
I could never have imagined that I would start to run and organise my own craft fair events and turn Louise's Events, something I really enjoy doing, into a small business.
Louise's Events has grown: now holding regular events each year and a mailing list with over 500 stallholders and counting...
Now 2020 sees the start of my fourth year organising my own craft fair events... and now crafting is more of a hobby (you will still find some of my makes at my events!) and is something I still enjoy doing but where my event business is now my main focus.
Then & now...
I hope to bring a new, modern and fresh look to each event.
After all, good, effective marketing is an important factor to help create a successful event!
This is what makes my business different.
As well as being a stallholder, I am able to see things from both sides of the table, to give everyone the best opportunity!
