... About Me ...

Background about me...

I have always had an interest in art and crafting.

Through school and college I always knew that I wanted to start my own business, and had envisaged this through my interest in sewing, painting ceramics and loom knitting, and by attending craft fairs.

As soon as I left college I booked my first craft fair to sell my handmade crafts at.

By starting this craft business I attended various craft fairs to sell my makes (plus also attended plenty of others to browse and purchase!) and after attending these craft fairs, I decided I wanted to have a go at organising my own event!

The beginning...

At the beginning of 2017 I started looking into organising my own craft fair and in April 2017 I held my first craft fair event!

I have since learnt everything myself, that goes into organising events!

I started my events on a small scale and have now grown my events to hold a minimum of 40 stalls at various venues!

This is what makes my business different.

As well as being a stallholder, I am able to see things from both sides of the table, to give everyone the best opportunity!

Louise's Events Brand...

My Louise's Events name was founded before holding my second craft fair event in July 2017.

In September 2017 I designed my first website for Louise's Events, which has grown into the website you see today!

I have designed my own logo and design all of the promotional material that I use for my events.

I also take my own photographs at every event that I hold and even down to the floral photos that you see here on my website, are my very own!

When I started my craft business after finishing college I had always thought that would be the business I would own and run.

I never imagined that I would start to run and organise my own craft fair events.

Louise's Events has grown: with a mailing list with over 500 stallholders and visitors, and counting...

Now 2021 sees the start of my fifth year organising my own craft fair events... and now crafting is more of a hobby (you will still find some of my makes at my events!).

Then & now...

My ultimate aim is to create these craft fairs to showcase and support small handmade craft businesses:
